The apartment 3 called “de la Escalera” (The one with the stairs)located on the first floor, receives the name that refers to the entire apartment complex. From it you can access the steep, exterior staircase, crowned by a pulpit of sorts overlooking the main courtyard.

The external stairsare the result of the transformation of the original 17th Century building into a “house of neighbors”. A legally protected figure, due to its popular architectural value, given the importance of this element in these types of living quartersthat arethe origin of the Patios Festival, declared by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
